MiO Liquid Water Enhancers

By The Sugarfreechic Cook 5.0 (1)

Mi0 Water Enhancers 1

I was out running some errands today and I decided to try something new. My husband races sailboats most weekends and this coming weekend he is racing from Newport Beach California to Cabo San Lucas. The race will probably take three to four days. This means living in a small confined space with seven other guys, sleeping minimal hours, eating small reheated meals, and above all having the time of their lives. Along with making a meal to be shared aboard the boat I was also given the task of finding something to drink. Since space is minimal aboard the boat, sending along different flavors of sodas is just not realistic. So I decided to check out the now huge selection of water enhancers sold in my local grocery store. It used to be that your choices were Kool Aid, Crystal Light, and the worst of all of them Tang. Nowadays there is a huge variety of choices and since I am a bargain shopper I decided to try MiO Liquid Water Enhancers. Instead of being a huge pot of powder, or individually packed in little pouches, this water enhancer comes in a small squeeze bottle. Simply squeeze in as much flavor as you want. This is great for me because I prefer my juice and sodas watered down. So now I can simply add a small dash to my water for a little added flavor. The best part about these little beauties is that they come in a ton of different flavors and all have zero carbs. So try all the MiO Liquid Water Enhancers. Try individually or mix them together to make new flavors. Add them to flat or bubbly water and enjoy! I rounded up my other picks in my store-bought low carb foods guide.

Why MiO Zero Carb Earned a Spot in My Bag

I like to know what I am drinking, so here are the numbers. MiO zero carb is sugar-free with 0 grams of carbs and 0 calories per serving, and a squeeze does not nudge your count. The sweetness comes from sucralose and acesulfame potassium, two artificial sweeteners that do not raise blood sugar. I don't mind them, but if you would rather skip the fake stuff, that is a fair call and worth knowing up front. One little catch: the Original flavor lists under a gram of carbs while the rest read zero, so give the label a quick glance if you count every gram. And do not lean on it for hydration on a long day in the sun. These little beauties give you flavor, not electrolytes, so they brighten your water without replacing a real electrolyte mix when you are sweating it out. For everyday Low Carb sipping and for tossing in a bag where space is tight, that squeeze-to-taste bottle is hard to beat.
